About Herrera Beauty Co

Serving Colorado since 2014

When founder Ariel Herrera began doing makeup with a small bag, a handful of brushes, and two palettes, she had no idea it would grow into a full bridal hair and makeup team serving weddings all across Colorado.

We believe in each person's ability to create, and it is such an honor to bring your ideas for your big day into reality. Our mission is to amplify our clients' beauty and help them go into one of the most photographed days of their lives feeling like themselves! < (with an exclamation mark)

Now, Ariel leads our team of artists hand-picked for their craft and their calm. Together we serve the whole getting-ready room — bridesmaids, mothers, grandmas, sisters, friends.

Hey Girl, I'm Ariel

I didn't go to school planning to do bridal makeup. I went to esthetician school because I cared about skin, and I taught myself the makeup side along the way.

Somewhere around 2014, I started posting my own makeup online, and people started asking if I did weddings. Like a lot of the best things, it kind of fell into my lap. Thirteen years later, it's still the work I love most.

My style is naturally elevated, soft glam. Skin that still looks like skin. Beauty that looks yours, brought forward. I want every woman who sits in my chair to feel like her best self when she looks in the mirror.

I'm a mom of two boys, which means there isn't much that flusters me anymore. When I'm not working, I'm with my kids, usually outside somewhere. When I'm working, I'm bringing the same calm energy I bring to my own family's chaos into the bridal suite.

That's the part of this job I love most. The makeup, at this point, I can almost do with my eyes closed. The wedding morning — the anticipation, my clients' trust in the process, the bride seeing herself in the mirror — that's the part that still gets me every time.

Breana headshot 1.jpg
Bre
Makeup Artist

Bre started doing makeup as a teenager, experimenting with looks online. This interest brought her to esthetician school and three years training with Anastasia Beverly Hills. Her style is polished, natural, and soft glam, with a particular obsession for brow symmetry (which she'll tell you, rightly, can make or break a look). She shows up early, stays organized, and reads body language so closely that she'll know whether you want music, conversation, or quiet — sometimes before you do. When she's not doing makeup, she's hiking, at concerts, or chilling in her yard in Denver.

Karina
Makeup Artist

Karina has been doing makeup since 2012, after leaving a receptionist job to follow what had started as a quiet obsession with watching YouTube tutorials on her lunch breaks. Fourteen years later, she's known for makeup that's polished, radiant, and built around the specific features of the woman in her chair. She does her best work with those who trust her eye, and who want to laugh through the morning and enjoy all of the anticipation. When she's not doing weddings, she's homeschooling her two daughters, doing brows, and spending time with her family.

Itzel
Hair Artist

Itzel has been styling hair since she was 14: first on her sisters and friends, then formally through Paul Mitchell's Denver school and an apprenticeship at The Parlour. Over five years into her professional career, she still takes classes every year to keep her craft sharp. She's a strong believer that nerves come from not knowing what's happening, so she'll talk you through the whole process, check in often, and use your inspiration photos as a starting point rather than a script. When she's not working a wedding, she's at the salon or spending time with friends and family.

Lindsey
Hair Artist

Lindsey was the kid who was always doing her friends' hair. Over 16 years into her career, she's now the stylist they always knew she'd become. She trained at Paul Mitchell and completed two apprenticeships afterward. Her style is boho, soft, and natural. As an empath, the thing she wants most for every client in her chair is for them to feel seen. She works in a Salon in Denver and is a mom to a three-year-old, which is a full-time exercise in finding the vibe and keeping it. She does her absolute best work with kind, chill people who are ready to enjoy the morning.
